Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is a holistic approach to healthcare that emphasizes the body's innate ability to heal itself. It combines traditional healing practices with modern science to treat and prevent illness. Naturopathic doctors (NDs) focus on treating the root causes of health issues rather than just alleviating symptoms.
Naturopathic treatments may include dietary changes, herbal medicine, homeopathy, physical therapies, and lifestyle counseling, alongside pharmaceuticals. As a naturopathic doctor, I also perform nutrient injections, acupuncture, and bowen therapy.
NDs often integrate conventional diagnostic tools, physical exams, and laboratory tests to inform their treatment plans.
Acupuncture & Facial Acupuncture
Acupuncture is part of traditional asian medicine, used to stimulate the body to balance itself. Through stimulation of acupuncture points and the flow of energy, called Qi ("Chi"), it is useful to reduce inflammation, ease pain, and stimulate your body to heal itself.
Acupuncture is supportive for all sorts of conditions, like mood & mental health, improving stress, sleep, and digestion, can reduce tinnitus and sinusitis, plus much more.
Many types of pain can be improved, like menstrual cramps, MSK pain (low back, shoulders, elbows, knees, hips), plantar fasciitis, arthritis, carpal tunnel, and more.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (also called Cosmetic Acupuncture) is a safe, effective, and natural way to reduce the signs of aging! The goal is to promote skin health by harnessing the body’s own resources to create sustainable changes in the skin.
Neural Therapy
Neural therapy is a treatment that involves the superficial injection of local anesthetics or other substances into specific areas of the body to alleviate pain and dysfunction. The aim is to reduce pain and improve range of motion.
The theory behind neural therapy is that these injections can help regulate the body's autonomic nervous system, increase blood flow to the area, and reduce inflammation. Injections can be in areas of pain or scar tissue, peripheral nerves, trigger points, and acupuncture points.
In simpler terms, imagine your body's nervous system as a complex network of roads and highways. Sometimes, due to injuries, infections, or other factors, there can be "traffic jams" or disruptions in this network, leading to pain or dysfunction. Neural therapy aims to "clear the traffic" by injecting substances at specific points to reset or normalize the nervous system's function and provide relief from pain.
Injections
Nutrient injections are delivered directly in to muscle and contain vitamins, minerals, or antioxidants used to support health.
The advantage of nutrient injections is to allow nutrients to absorb in to the surrounding tissue, bypassing digestion.
IV Therapy
Nutrient IVs are delivered directly in to the bloodstream and contain vitamins, minerals, or antioxidants used to support health.
The advantage of nutrient IVs is to allow nutrients to be injected directly in to the bloodstream, bypassing the need for digestion.
Bowen Therapy
Bowen therapy is a gentle and non-invasive form of bodywork that aims to stimulate the body's natural healing processes. This therapy involves a series of precise and gentle rolling movements over specific points on the body.
The technique is based on the principle that gentle manipulation of muscles, tendons, and fascia (connective tissue) can send signals to the nervous system, prompting it to reset and rebalance. This can help relieve tension, reduce pain, and improve overall well-being.
